Good report Tom.

Yes we do need to have this in Powell River.

As Powell River is situated in a location that is like an island it is in our interest to re create a sustainable supply of locally grown organic, or close to it, food.

This should occur for vegitables, beef, pigs, and chickens.

With the advent of factory farms that produce meat of questionable safety being loaded with growth hormones, and overly used drugs, and the push by the Monsanto Ilk to have us eat Genetically Modified food that has not been tested to show it is safe for human and animal consumption, we need to take control of our food.

More and more of our food today comes from the other side of the world, pickeled in drugs, and other poisons.

Thanks for the report, Tom. And thanks to the Texada Garden Club for hosting this workshop. I've heard rave reviews from people who went over for it, so maybe we need to get Robin back up here for one in Powell River.
