I lived at Davie Bay for 3 years (2005 -2008)and would happily live there again with a limestone quarry for a neighbour, just as it was when I lived at Blubber Bay while working for Ash Grove Cement. It was still a beautiful, relaxing place to live after 100+ years of limestone mining.

The most that Ash Grove Cement ever produced in 1 year at Blubber Bay Quarry was just over 2 million tons. I was the Superintendent there at that time.

They are kidding, right?
It's not likely the are investing millions for 'roadbase'. This limestone is for cement production.
Care about the environment, the community, or anything other than profits. Also not likely.
Don't write to the company - write to our government!!

executives are not part of humanity, they have no real connection to the earth and the land. they are a perverse bunch and come from planet capeetal and answer only to their foreign council, called shireholders. the creatures responsible for this and other proposals of destruction on texada and elsewhere simply do not care what happens to earth as long as their shireholders get their quarterly orgasm. shireholders do not come to earth. they do not see the destruction inherent in their system. perhaps if we could invite them to davie bay, and show them what they might cause, they would open their minds.

Is it not a shame that we as humanity look only to that which will make us more money. No matter what the cost to the environment is. Should we not begin to consider what it is we can / need to do to protect the small pockets of beauty that we as humans so desperately need to heal our wounds in this realm of disaster and pain. Where else can we go for solace and calm and peace once we have turned our world into one giant industrial site. PLEASE leave our pristine wilderness in tact and do not sacrifice this paradise for what more money? I urge you to reconsider. Come and feel the and enjoy and LIVE the beauty that this land is. Come and experience the love that regenerates us . Come and be one with the LIFE that this place exudes. After you have done that , you know what I am talking about, because you will leave healed, made whole and in your mind this place of beauty is a place you will return to when you need peace. Thank you . In Love and in Light, Gabriele
